Six at Woking Theatre from 20 October, the Rotary fireworks in Woking Park on 7 November, plus Woking FC home games and Lightbox half term, with times.

The six weeks ahead are the busiest stretch of Woking Theatre’s autumn. Six plays eight performances from Tuesday 20 October, Paranormal Activity has a week-long run from the 6th, and the tribute nights and one-off concerts fill most of the gaps. Then, on Saturday 7 November, the Rotary’s 50th anniversary fireworks take over Woking Park, with Knaphill’s display the same night.

In between, the Lightbox runs a full half-term programme and Woking FC play five home games at Kingfield. Everything below comes from the organisers’ own listings, read on 28 September 2026, and each entry links back to its source so you can check before setting off. Theatre prices are the cheapest seats ATG was showing that day, before booking fees, and they move as seats sell.

  • National Poetry Day open mic, Thursday 1 October, 6.30pm to 7.30pm, Woking Library, Gloucester Walk, GU21 6EP. The library’s Poetry Hub reads first, then the floor is open for original work or favourite poems. A £2 donation is suggested (Surrey Libraries on Eventbrite).
  • Queen by Candlelight, Friday 2 October, 7.30pm, Woking Theatre, Peacocks Centre, GU21 6GQ. West End singers and a live rock band work through Queen’s songbook. From £28.85 (ATG).
  • Free beauty consultations at Victoria Place, Saturday 3 October, 11am to 4pm, and Sunday 4 October, 11am to 3pm. Booked sessions on make-up and skincare, one booking per person (Victoria Place).
  • Brookwood Cemetery Society guided walks, Sunday 4 October, 1pm, from the Society Lodge off Cemetery Pales, GU24 0BL. Three walks run at once: the cemetery’s artists, the St Albans plot, and the unusual gravestones of plots 24 and 25. A £7.50 donation secures a place and includes refreshments; book by email to walks@tbcs.org.uk (Brookwood Cemetery Society).
  • Queen of the Night, a tribute to Whitney Houston, Sunday 4 October, 7.30pm, Woking Theatre. Billed as the UK’s biggest Whitney Houston tribute. From £21.50 (ATG).
  • Animal Encounters, last days, to Sunday 4 October, Lightbox Gallery, Chobham Road, GU21 4AA. The summer exhibition closes this weekend. Included with a day pass, £14.50 for adults (Lightbox).
