RHS Wisley Glow runs on selected nights from 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, 4pm to 9pm, and opens on Christmas Eve for the first time. Adults from £7.50.

RHS Glow, the winter light trail at RHS Garden Wisley, runs on selected nights from Friday 20 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, from 4pm to 9pm with last entry at 7.30pm. Every visitor needs a pre-booked ticket, including RHS members and children under five. Non-member adult tickets run from £7.50 on the quietest nights to £27.50 on Christmas Eve, which is on the calendar for the first time this year (RHS Wisley Glow).

Wisley sits just over the borough boundary from Pyrford and Byfleet, and it is the biggest winter night out within reach of Woking.

The quick answer

The RHS does not publish a list of which nights fall in which band: you see the band when you pick a date in the booking calendar. The super off peak nights are limited, and the RHS says popular slots sell out.

What is on the trail

The RHS describes a new route for 2026 with a “field of fire”, giant crocuses, an illuminated “enchanted garden” in the Glasshouse, a fairy village in the Rock Garden, lighting inspired by mycelium networks and two light shows set to music. Food and hot drinks are sold along the way, and the Terrace Restaurant takes sit-down bookings; the festive menu is still to be published.

Practical details

  • Arrival: you book a time slot, can arrive at any point during it, and can stay until closing.
  • Bring your booking reference, plus your membership card if you booked member tickets.
  • Dogs are not allowed, except registered assistance dogs.
  • Access: the RHS says the Glow trail is fully accessible. On the two sensory-friendly nights, up to two carers go free (book the SEN nights).

Getting there from Woking

  • By car: parking at Wisley is free. The M25 junction 10 roadworks have changed the approach. Coming up the A3 from Guildford, go to junction 10 and briefly rejoin the A3 southbound to the Ockham Park roundabout, or leave early at the B2215 and follow Portsmouth Road to the same roundabout. A new road and bridge take you over the A3 to the garden entrance (how to get to Wisley).
  • By bus: the 462 and 463 run hourly between Woking station and Guildford bus station, stopping at Wisley’s new bus stop, every day except 25 and 26 December. The RHS page does not say how late the evening buses run, so check the timetable for the last bus back before booking a late slot.
  • By train: West Byfleet is the nearest station, about four miles away, and the RHS suggests a pre-booked taxi from there.

The garden by day over Christmas

Wisley is open daily except Christmas Day. Daytime admission is separate from Glow: adults from £15.20 online or £20.50 on the day, children £6 (plan your visit). Glow tickets are evening-only. The garden centre sells real Christmas trees, wreaths and decorations and is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm, closed on Christmas Day.
